Dining

The Stellar Care dining staff curates three homemade meals a day, providing many options for those dietary restrictions and/or religious observances.

Salon/Barber Shop

Stellar Care Senior Living and Memory Care provide an onsite Salon & Barbershop. Residents have access to a wide range of services such as manicures, pedicures, hair cuts, color, blowouts & updos. A shave + hot towel is also available to the gentlemen who reside in our community

Courtyard

Stellar Care’s community offers a bright, airy, all-season courtyard for all residents to enjoy. Along with the comfortable patio seating options, there is a covered pergola for those sunny San Diego summer days & overhead heaters for when it starts to cool down in the fall and winter. Families are welcome to use the courtyard for a picnic lunch or to share homemade treats while visiting loved ones.

Field Trips

Stellar Care schedules weekly outings on our community bus for visits throughout San Diego. Our most popular destinations include the San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, Japanese Tea Garden, Wild Animal Park, Petco Park, Del Mar Fair, Seaport Village, USS Midway, Chollas Lake, Pacific Beach. There are many other locations & outings throughout the county that include scenic rides for our non-ambulatory residents as well.

Podiatry

Foot care is extremely important for seniors, Stellar Care has many mobile services so that our residents and their families can receive the care and attention they need. Specifically, as people age, their health & wellness can be indicated by how well their feet & nails are taken care of.

Our mobile podiatrist is available to residents through insurance or private pay.

Mobile Doctors

Stellar Care has many services brought into the community for residents to utilize, our mobile doctor may be one of the most important. Any concerns can be addressed weekly by our doctor onsite. This can also provide relief to families who do not have the flexibility to coordinate transportation & assistance to doctor appointments off-site.

Sanitization

As we see the light at the end of the tunnel following the past year and a half, sanitation and cleanliness remain a top priority at Stellar Care. We use an electrolyzed saltwater solution, HOCl, to kill airborne and surface-dwelling germs throughout the community.

Wheelchair + Walking Assist Washing Station

In addition to rigorous sanitizing throughout the community, Stellar Care is one of the only senior living or memory care communities that has a wheelchair + walking assist sanitizing station. These daily use items can attract many germs, especially when they are the main mode of transportation for many of our residents. A clean & safe environment for our residents is a top priority at Stellar Care.

Movie Theater

The movie theater is available for families to enjoy with their loved one and is utilized throughout the month for activities, documentaries, and discussions

Family Visiting Areas

We have multiple areas throughout the community where families can enjoy time with their family member who lives at Stellar Care. We have a conference room complete with a piano and a sitting room. A family lounge that’s great for sharing a private meal inside, playing games together, or just visiting. The movie theater can be reserved for families to watch a movie together, as well. We also have a private patio for families to enjoy the outdoors, as well as access to our inner courtyard anytime.

A Typical Week at Stellar Care

Memory Care

Our experienced staff provides a structured environment where residents with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias can thrive with set routines.

Club Stellar

Residents who are early on in the progression of their dementia or Alzheimer’s disease may be eligible for our Club Stellar program and special rate.

Dining

Our staff prepares nutritious meals three times a day, featuring in-season fruits and vegetables, homemade soups, and diabetic options.

Activities

The Stellar Care activities staff curates tailored activities, field trips, and programs for all residents at various levels in the progression of their dementia.
